Hollow Fiber

Modified PVDF has higher physical and chemical resistance compared to other raw materials. For this reason, Akkim prefers modified PVDF for production of Hollow Fiber.

Hollow Fiber has smaller pores on the outer section while the pore size enlarges towards the inside. Thus, contaminants with smaller dimensions are not allowed to penetrate into the filter's inner structure and kept outside. This design ensures easier cleaning and less wear & tear for the fiber and less water is discharged during reverse osmosis.

The fiber is produced with cutting edge technology, with complete impermeability allowing for absolute filtration. Pore size is maximum 0.03 Microns, meaning 30 Nanometers. This enables the hollow fiber to capture and retain all contaminants (solid particles, viruses, bacteria) larger than 0.03 Microns.
